Data Warehouse Services

When it comes to making educational data ready and accessible, WNYRIC offers a full array of data warehouse services.

Using e-Scholar software and NYSED data cleansing software, WNYRIC collects P-12 educational data from multiple sources including student management systems, HR/Financial systems and Test Scanning and Scoring software.

WNYRIC houses this data in a regional data warehouse, using it to produce regional  reports and making it available to NYSED per documented NYSED deadlines.

For districts the following services are mandatory:

For:

WNYRIC Charter School pricing: See Contacts.

WNYRIC non-public school pricing: See Contacts.

Training and Support Services (See 650.330.40-44).

Test Scoring/Scanning Services

The Test Scoring/Scanning service accommodates the requirements for scoring and scanning of NYS elementary, intermediate, and Regents assessments. It includes the pre-printing of answer sheets and, in some cases, the printing of student labels for test booklets.

Once answer sheets are scanned, student scores are submitted to WNYRIC's regional data warehouse and subsequently loaded to NYSED's data warehouse. Item response data from Test Scoring is used to produce item analysis reporting from the regional data warehouse.

The Test Scoring/Scanning unit offers some options for scanning and scoring assessments:

  • There are full service options for 3-8 ELA and Math Assessments and NYS Regents Examination Data Collection.
  • For Regents and Science 4 & 8, another option  allows districts to In-District Scan  them. Districts opting for this service have access to the testscore.wnyric.org website, to verify the data and view preliminary reports. They can use exports from the website for direct loading into student management systems. For Regents, this can eliminate reported score discrepancies in the Regional Data Warehouse.
  • A third option is for smaller districts for Regents and Science 4 and 8. Called In-District Just-In-Time Scanning, the district scans the answer sheets and RIC personnel verifies the answer sheet data using the Test Scoring application
